NOT ANOTHER LIMERICK!
ALL DAY LONG I DON’T MAKE A PENNY
“HEY YOU! BUY A BOOK
AND DO NOT JUST LOOK”
AS AN AUTHOR, I'M LOSING MY SANITY.
THERE WAS A YOUNG GIRL FROM TASSIE
WHO WAS PRETTY BUT KNOWN AS A HUSSY
WHEN SHE MET A YOUNG SCOTT
WHO LIKED HER A LOT
AND CALLED HER “MY WEE BONNIE LASSIE!”
LEGS VARY IN SHAPE AND IN SIZE,
IN SHORT SKIRT, THERE IS NO SURPRISE,
SOME ARE SKINNY LIKE STICKS
HAIRY LEGS ARE THE PITS
BUT CONCRETE CRUSHERS I DESPISE!
THE BABY CRIES PIERCINGLY LOUD
“SHUT UP!” THE FATHER DOES SHOUT
THE MOTHER THEN NURSES
TO AVOID FURTHER CURSES
BUT AS PARENTS THEY BOTH ARE SO PROUD!

WITH DAYS SO DREADFUL….
there appear in my mind the days of yore,
when young and with optimism brimming
I skipped through life with cheery singing.
Achieved distinctions through study intense,
mastered exams with dedicated sense,
respected by people who saw me succeed,
there were no limits, for that was my creed.
From a certain age on they look at you diff’rent
‘You have no hope!’ is the message they sent.
‘It is hopeless for you, you shouldn’t strife
‘cause others want your position in life!
But this will not happen, despite them,
And other’s low motives that drive them.
There are many more goals to achieve,
But first I will keep my depression brief.
With writing, drawing and teaching the learners,
Engaging in office work for earnings,
I am constantly improving my life,
And enjoy the rewards for all my strife.

DELEGATE!
And for the deadlines you are late,
The phones ring and your job is daunting,
Remember one word: Delegate!
More work now to your desk is sent
Relentless and so visibly
The secret here is management
So delegate with urgency!
The bosses know your expert handling
And the contribution you do make;
They will assist with understanding
What you need to do is: Delegate!

POLITICIANS....
A special position is held by the pollies
who are trying to hide from us their follies.
Rorting the system, in parliament missing,
their mistresses in secret kissing,
with promises in vagueness uttered
and when found out, excuses muttered,
but when the voters feel neglected,
these pollies won’t get re-elected!

MY COMPUTER AND I ARE GOOD FRIENDS………..
My computer and I are good friends,
Together we work every day.
I sit there and type with my hands
And new poems are on the way.
When poems are sad and depressing,
When stories are cheerful and gay,
My fingers type on relentlessly
As I have a lot to say.
Sometimes my computer goes cranky;
It freezes and stops half the way.
But with patience and using my savvy,
Starting to work it then may.
Words that misspelled, it corrects
And sentences that gone awry.
Improvement in style it suggests,
Plus new words for me to try.
Peter Frederick
