DEEP IN THE FOREST...

DEEP IN THE FOREST WHERE CREATURES ROAM,
PROTECTED BY TREES AND THEIR CANOPY'S DOME,
IN MOONLIGHT THEY GATHER IN A CLEARING
AWAY FROM HUMANS AND OUT OF HEARING.

AND NOW THEY MAKE MUSIC, THEY CHIRP AND STOMP
WITH RUFFLED FEATHERS, IN COLOURFUL POMP,
ON TWO, FOUR AND MORE LEGS THEY SWAY IN RHYTHM,
WITH EYES HALF CLOSED IN MYSTICISM.

THE BEAT NOW SWELLS AND MELODY
PERVADES THE GROUND AND UP THE TREE
WHERE EVEN INSECTS UNDER BARK,
WITH LITTLE LEGS, DANCE IN THE DARK.

THE MOON IS SHINING DOWN SO BRIGHT;
EVERYTHING MOVES, SWAYS WITH DELIGHT,
WITH ALL THEIR WHISTLES, GRUNTS AND HONK,
IN RAPTURE THEY GO STOMP, STOMP, STOMP!
