FRIEND, THE WORLD IS GREY NOW.....

Friend, the world is grey now,

So sudden overnight!

The joys, intensely sought, now

Are for us out of sight!

Friend, you are alone now,

Lonely and so cold;

I think we are at end now,

Aged, so sick and old.

Friend, what do we do now,

we've lived a live so bold,

have reached for all success, now

what's left that we're old?

Friend, it is a dream now,

the life we've lived of old,

Mem'ries fade, we do so now,

And soon we will be cold!
