A little boy stands wondering
wide-eyed and amazed,
the world is colourful and wide -
he takes all in unfazed.
As long his parents lovingly
are by his side protecting
and guiding him to adulthood,
without in care neglecting
One day he will be all alone,
a 'grown-up', as they say,
strong and virile and determined
in his daily fray.
