Synthesised voices and piped music alone,

They seem to fill now the telephone.

Lines are listened into by someone – who knows?

Big brother is watching,

that clearly shows.

They say it’s in my own interest…..

Speed cameras and infrared beams

Observe all my driving, it seems.

Did I incur an infringement,

In my morning mail it is sent.

They say it’s in my own interest…..

Phoneing for service I’m greeted

By a person at an overseas switchboard seated,

Assisting me with efficiency,

Courtesy and alarcrity.
