7. What is your greatest joy in writing?
Writing is a joy in itself, but I love it when others also enjoy what I write. I love holding a printed work in my hand.
8. What is the hardest part of writing for you?
Sharing what you write creates a sense of vulnerability, at least it did in the early days and probably still does, but I have had good “sounding boards” who have provided me with encouragement along the way. Editing your own work is difficult.
9. What's the easiest?
A writer should be able to write a story about almost anything. I have set myself exercises at times, by choosing words at random, and a word limit, to write a story. This technique teaches the writer a lot about thinking outside the square.
10. What's next for you? Are you currently working on or have plans for future projects?
I am pleased to see this book come to fruition, for many reasons. Next, I hope to write something less daunting than this current book which has been enlightening but also challenging.
A book of fiction beckons, but it will be based on some of my medical exploits. I have lots of material, medical and other material, just looking for a bit more attention to achieve completion.
I love dogs and have had some extraordinary dogs in my life, and still have a magnificent standard poodle. Their combined story needs telling.
I am a member of a writers group, and we have a combined anthology in the wings.
I am also in the process of writing a book in collaboration with a colleague about pain management using magnets.
11. What are the greatest obstacles you've experienced on your writing journey?
Finding a great publisher.
The book is available at all book stores. If it is not in stock yet, ask them to order it for you. It is also available from the Morris Publishing Australia's website http://www.morrispublishingaustralia.com/the-secret-stalker-of-the-prostate.html And on Amazon as an eBook.
